Here is this year's Winner - Ann Taylor - with the Trophy, which she will keep for a year in pride of place to celebrate her success.

Ann's winning entry "On the Crest of the Waves" is unusual in that the three Dolphins are set on a base which is illuminated from below, so the light shines all around and through the separate figures. Her soldering was so good that she risked leaving it shiny silver to very good effect.

The Winner!

What is the Elizabeth Ellen Trophy awarded for?

Sam and Elizabeth entered exhibits in the DACA annual competition for many years until they decided to bow out and leave the field clear for other enthusiasts in the County - having won over 10 gold awards throughout the period as well as many other certificates of merit.

To encourage more participation by their students, customers and other Dorset enthusiasts they donated in 1999 a special Glass Trophy for the Stained Glass Section which Elizabeth has engraved with the DACA logo (formerly the DCACA).
